Understanding & Application of Eurocodes

The United Kingdom has adopted Structural Eurocodes, and consequently, the British Standards became obsolete in March 2013. Stakeholders in the Department of Civil & Structural Engineering decided in February 2012 that Kenya should adopt Structural Eurocodes Standards. In September 2012, the Structural Eurocodes with the UK National Annex were adopted as Kenya Standards through Gazette Notice N0 13048, issued on September 14, 2012. The implementation of the Structural Eurocodes for their use in the Construction Industry is expected to be completed by January 2021. To facilitate effective implementation of the Structural Eurocodes, it is important for Engineers to have an understanding of the application of Eurocodes. This training workshop provides an opportunity for Engineers to acquire knowledge on the application of Structural Eurocodes in Kenya.
