There is a huge demand on development of public infrastructure, however, the government’s budget is limited. In addition, the public sector often lacks the technologies, skills and expertise required for efficient infrastructure development. PPPs play an important role in merging the resources of both public and private sectors to better serve the public’s needs. What systematic framework has the government put in place for delivery of infrastructure development in general and what role do you the engineer have to play in this area?
