Description

Investigating Failures: Forensic Engineering Insights is a two-day Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training designed to equip engineers with the knowledge and practical skills required to investigate engineering failures, determine root causes, and produce credible forensic reports. As infrastructure projects become increasingly complex and engineering failures continue to pose significant safety, legal, environmental, and economic challenges, the programme provides participants with the tools needed to conduct systematic investigations and support evidence-based decision-making.

The training will cover forensic investigation methodologies, failure analysis techniques, evidence collection and management, technical report writing, legal and regulatory considerations, and expert witness practice. Through practical case studies and interactive sessions, participants will gain the competence to identify structural and operational failures, preserve and interpret forensic evidence, prepare court-ready technical reports, and recommend preventive measures that enhance infrastructure safety, reduce project risks, and improve engineering practice.
